Ironwood Outfitters is the result of years of trial, error, and a continuous refinement of my knifemaking skills and equipment. The backbone of my knifemaking will always be a desire for continuous improvement in design, materials, practices. I try to make knifes that are unpretentious and will live up to the harshest use without sacrificing design. There are models and variants to fit everyone’s tastes and needs, but regardless of material, they are all built to meet the same standards of quality and reliability.

When I started making knives there was no one there to help, I had to learn everything with limited tools and a few books. I had to figure out everything for myself and made a lot of mistakes along the way. It took a long time to develop the skills required to make knives I felt comfortable showing anyone. For that reason, I wanted to give back to the community, which is why I recently started teaching classes as well. To help other future knife makers get a leg up, or those just looking to try something new and make something for themselves, our knife making class is a good start.
