The Spyderco UpTern is a lock-back folding knife that combines convenience, cutting performance, and Spyderco style. It’s part of Spyderco’s Value Folder family and features an 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade, a textured forefinger choil and thumb ramp, and a stainless steel handle. The knife has a sturdy back lock mechanism and a fully configurable four-position pocket clip, making it suitable for left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry. The blade is available in PlainEdge or CombinationEdge configurations, and its symmetrical design allows for ambidextrous carry and operation. Inspired by the byrd Tern, the UpTern is an upgraded version that maintains the Tern’s convenient size and classic Spyderco design lines.
