Spyderco Delica 4 Titanium Damascus Folding Knife

The Delica is one of Spyderco’s oldest and most popular designs. A mainstay of their product line since its release in 1990, it seemed fitting to honor the critical role it has played in Spyderco’s history with a full-production premium version of this iconic design. The result is the Titanium/Damascus Delica 4, an exquisite expression of the classic Delica that offers the best of old-world craftsmanship and state-of-the-art materials.

The most dramatic feature of the Titanium/Damascus Delica is its breathtaking Damascus-clad blade. Known as D.P.S. 15, the blade material is produced by Takefu Special Steel Company, Ltd. in Japan. It consists of a VG-10 stainless steel core sandwiched between two outer layers of Damascus steel. Each of the Damascus layers is composed of 15 layers of forge-welded steel, beautifully patterned and etched to reveal the detail of the structure. The finished blade, which is meticulously flat ground for superior edge geometry, features a total of 31 layers of steel and offers an exceptional blend of strength, cutting performance, and beauty.

To complement the dramatic blade of this Delica, the handle is precision machined from solid 6AL-4V titanium. This state-of-the-art material is prized for its lightweight, extreme toughness, and superior strength. The titanium scales are precision machined and bead blasted to a handsome gray finish. They are supported by a stainless steel back spacer and mated to the blade by a high-strength back lock mechanism. All components are assembled with precision stainless steel Torxhardware and meticulously hand-finished. Extra touches of the class include a stainless steel liner tube in the lanyard hole and a polished stainless steel clip configurable for left or right-side tip-up or tip-down carry.
