Spyderco developed the UK Penknife after the United Kingdom prohibited the carry of folding knives with locking blades. It combines the defining features of our revolutionary CLIPIT knives—a pocket clip for convenient carry and our Trademark Round Hole for easy, ambidextrous one-handed opening—with an improved, non-locking, notch-joint mechanism. This version of the UK Penknife features a full-flat-ground leaf-shaped blade crafted from CTS-BD1N stainless steel. The blade includes a textured index-finger choil as an extra margin of safety and is paired with a lightweight handle built with injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) scales.
